Can I assign the handling of my death to my church?

Have you already consulted with a lawyer regarding this matter?

Yes.

Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured they’ll be able to help with your situation.

No.

Elizabeth

Hi there! My name is Liz and I’ve been an attorney for more than a decade, and I am here to assist with your legal concerns.

So I can best help, has the church agreed to handle your arrangements?

Yes, the church has.

Elizabeth

Yes. With the will, you can designate the church to be the executor of the will. That would allow them to handle all arrangements.

In the will itself, you can also designate how you wish to handle your final resting place and if you wish to be buried, cremated or some other option.

You also, if you wish, could leave your assets to the church or to multiple beneficiaries— it just needs to be clearly outlined in the will.

Once it's created, you also would require it to be witnessed by uninterested parties and notarized.

Then, you would want to have it stored in a safe place, for the sad event of your passing.
