I've been a notary for over 20 years and I can tell you that states recognize notary stamps from other states, in keeping with the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the U.S. Constitution. Was that your only question?

I just finished writing my will, medical power of attorney, and durable power of attorney using the forms for my state of legal residence, New Mexico. I'm currently working in Hawaii and want to sign and notarize these documents. Is it legal to notarize these documents out of state?
I understand the importance of having your legal documents in order. Have you checked if New Mexico allows out-of-state notarization for these specific documents?
