Full Conversation

Hi, I am trying to create a Certificate of Trust. I have two questions:

I understand you're looking to create a Certificate of Trust. Have you already gathered all the necessary information for the trust?

Yes. My first question pertains to the text where the trust was recorded. It was established in California on 10/05/2010. Should I set today's date or the 10/05/2010 date?

Are you familiar with the specific requirements and legalities involved in creating a Certificate of Trust in your state?

Q2 pertains to the SETTLOR(S) section. It was established by M*** C***... It was her trust that established the H*** R*** personal asset trust and passed assets to it.

Is there anything else the lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured they'll be able to help with your trust creation.

I live in Arizona.

Isaac

I see that you are trying to create this certificate and have specific concerns. How can I help you?

The trust was established in California in 2010. I live in Arizona. Does the certificate need to be recorded? If so, what state?

I also have a question about the Settlor section.

Isaac

Good day, here is the answer to your concern. Please do not hesitate to continue to engage with me and to ask any follow-up questions related to this response and know that I will respond as soon as I can.

The certificate has to be recorded not where you reside but where the trust is registered and domiciled. If this trust is established in California, you can potentially relocate it to Arizona or keep it in California, where you would then have to file the certificate directly.

Where would I find its registration in Los Angeles County, California?

Isaac

You would need to record it with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder. Their information is below:

7807 Compton Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90001
(800) 201-8999
lavote.gov

Ah... the certificate or the trust?

Isaac

That would be where you would record the certificate.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions about this issue for me today.

Isaac

You are most welcome and glad to help! I hope that I was able to answer your questions in full. Please let me know if I can help clarify anything else.
