My name is on the will to own my childhood home, but my father got dementia and gave the home to my brother who sold it. How can I claim a share of the sale?

You really should start a new proceeding, one that is just focused on contesting the will.
Your father is legally incompetent to make a property transfer. Anything he has attempted to do can easily be reversed by the court by simply filing a declaration of his incompetence.

My name is on the will to own my childhood home. It was signed by my father who owned the home. He got dementia shortly after. My sister was power of attorney at the time and noticed some questionable charges on his account. So she took him to the hospital and a doctor told him he could not sign any papers. He took my sister off power of attorney and gave the home to my brother who sold the house. How can I fight for part of the sale of the house?

I'm sorry to hear about the situation with your childhood home. Were there any legal documents or agreements in place regarding your ownership of the home?

Yes, the will was signed by my father.

Have you consulted with a lawyer or sought any legal advice on this matter yet?

No.

Is there anything else the lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured they'll be able to help with contesting the will.

No.
