I take care of my sick sister, and it’s tough because she has dementia. When I try to handle finances, I hit a roadblock and can’t act on her behalf. I’m always met with a decline when I use my current papers.

I am in Beaumont, TX and have a 2-year-old. I have no custody plan in place and her dad has been inconsistent, has not financially supported at all, is mentally unstable, and has had some scary moments around me and my daughter. I am on a limited budget and want to do it the best way I can for her while looking out for money as well. I know/think I need to file a SAPCR. I have not gone to the attorney general due to being afraid of what the outcome with her dad would look like. I just need advice.

How do I write a judge recusal affidavit? I am a member of the public and not involved with the case. I observed evident bias (every one of the petitioner’s counsel had their objections sustained and the respondent’s were all overruled—she is pro se). The judge did not act according to the best interest of the court, with outbursts, and this is not the first time she has done this. She is on the "Texas Wall of Shame" for her very clear anti-women sentiments. She consistently does not respect the decorum of the courtroom, siding with one party every hearing.

I have just got a parent travel consent form online for use for my 17-year-old travelling alone from the UK to Croatia for a week’s volunteer teen project this summer. Who would I need to get to witness and sign?

I have a 14-year-old son in the Philippines and need to get his Certificate of Birth Abroad. Unfortunately, I don’t have the money to fly there to file it. Is it possible to have a power of attorney given to someone there?

I have a car that was purchased in my previous marriage. I paid the car off before the divorce and that is the car that I was using throughout our marriage since we got it originally. We got divorced and I continued to use the car as always. When it came time to renew the registration, I wasn’t able to because it was registered under his name at the DMV. I have asked him multiple times to transfer it to my name and he has declined every time. He is now threatening to report the car as stolen to get me in trouble. What can I do about the car situation?
