Based on your situation, there are several legal considerations and concepts in U.S. immigration law that could potentially support your case:

Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) allows the President of the United States to suspend the entry of any aliens or class of aliens into the U.S. if their entry would be detrimental to the interests of the United States. This section has been used in various presidential proclamations to restrict entry based on national security concerns. (8 U.S.C. § 1182(f))

Regarding the I-864EZ form, it is a simplified version of the Affidavit of Support, which is required for most family-based immigrants and some employment-based immigrants to show that they have adequate means of financial support and are not likely to rely on the U.S. government for financial assistance. If you do not have W-2 income and have a joint sponsor, you may need to consider using the standard I-864 form instead, as it allows for joint sponsorship. (8 U.S.C. § 1183a)

Is there anything else the immigration lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured they'll be able to help with your visa refusal.

Hi there, and welcome! I’m Guillermo Senmartin, a licensed U.S. immigration attorney with over 27 years of experience in this area. I’m really glad you’re here, and I’m looking forward to helping you.

Could you tell me more about your situation with the consulate in Djibouti?

After the interview we received a letter stating that my wife and kids were found ineligible for an immigrant visa under section 212(f) of the INA pursuant to presidential proclamation; Restricting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the United States From Foreign terrorists and Other national security and public safety threats.

Got it, thanks. Have your wife and kids ever traveled to the U.S. before or applied for a U.S. visa in the past?

I am unable to reach the consulate directly. Do you know how? On the CEAC website, it shows that I need to submit I864EZ but I do not have W2 income and I have a joint sponsor.
