I was served papers from a credit card company, but I wasn’t home at the time, so the friend who received it didn’t give me the paperwork.

I understand the situation can be stressful. Were you able to retrieve the papers from your friend since then?

I don’t know.

Do you know what the papers from the credit card company were regarding?

It is for an overdue balance which was sent to my old address where I wasn’t living at the time.

Is there anything else the lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured they’ll be able to help with the overdue balance issue.

Yes

I’m so sorry you are dealing with a credit card lawsuit. When you moved from your old address, did you contact the credit card company to update their records with your new address?
