Where do I get the legal description for a deed?
The legal description yes... it should be the exact same except for the last paragraph which is the "chain of title" info that you would get off your current deed for the Deed Book and Page and when it was last transferred.

Yes, if that is the chain of title information from the most current deed that is what you would use so if there is no newer deed than the 2002 deed, that is correct.

I have one more question.
The deed has my maiden name, which was my legal name when we signed the deed. Should the quit claim be my actual legal name or should I make it match the actual deed?
If the old deed has your maiden name, and your current legal name is different, then it would be best to put "[MAIDEN NAME] F.K.A. [CURRENT LEGAL NAME]". The FKA is formerly known as...
