For Michigan law, I sent the letter to vacate, the 30-day notice. Do I need to do a month-to-month lease until the tenant leaves the house?

I am POA for my deceased father and mother still living. She is in a memory care facility. I am selling a small piece of property in Michigan that my mom and dad own (both names on current deed) to a neighbor who owns the adjacent property. For the creation of the new Quit Claim Deed, do I list both of them and include a death certificate and copy of the POA document?

I typed up my Lady Bird Deed, but it lists two beneficiaries. First my fiancée and second my nephew. Upon research, I found out that listing my fiancée as the first beneficiary and my nephew as second does not reflect my intent.

Hello, I am preparing a quitclaim deed for a property that my brother and I both inherited and I am transferring the deed just into his name. Would he be listed as just the grantee or both the grantor and grantee as well? Thanks.

I am looking for basic information about what divorce prep I need to do in the state of Michigan when divorcing and dividing a household that includes my kids from a previous marriage. Am trying to find the “safest” way to make sure when we divorce it can be fair to him, without destroying me financially in the process.

I am writing a very simple will in Michigan. I chose not to use the Statutory version because I want to name a single heir who is not a child or close relative. I have no children. I am married but if we die in an accident together, or he proceeds me in death, we only want one person to inherit all the residue of the estate. We also want this person to be our personal representative. Is this allowed?
