Yes, the property was our primary residence for 20 years. Our property records recorded the purchase on 5/31/2002. The intent with the quit claim deed is to update my wife’s name to our married name. She is already on the current deed under her maiden name but we were listed as single individuals at the time of the purchase and married on 9/4/2002 the same year as we purchased the property. I am very interested in the easiest way to update the deed to show we are married. We were married in Broward County where the property is also recorded.

I have been working on a QuitClaim deed and my problem is that I found it confusing to select the “grantee” for both spouses. I’d like to get this right. I don’t know how I missed it when going through the application.

One school softball team is playing another. It’s out of season. We are required to have the team sanctioned by one of the associations, get insurance, and the insurance company requires a liability waiver. Who should be released from liability? The coach putting on the game or the school at which the game is occurring.

I gave a Condominium Association $1,000 deposit back in 2013 to rent the unit. It was to be withheld if any damages occurred during the tenancy of this place. Florida Statute 83.49 is in the bylaws of the Condos Association. Now they have a new management that claims they cannot find the original deposit I gave. I had to give another one, and they’re not responsible for any of the mishandling of other condominium board members. They delayed my process of renting my unit without just cause and I had to give another deposit.

I’m currently being chartered with BOL 3rd degree. I got a lawyer who, when I told her what happened, told me she could get it dismissed. And then after a few court dates she tells me there is no way to get it dismissed because it was a law enforcement officer this charge was about, so she discussed PTI with me. I’m apprehensive to sign it — I saw the discovery, I have the videos, I don’t see me kick anyone. Matter of fact, they had no right to cuff me. I was walking away from them. Then after they get me to the jail, they strip me naked, basically threw me around like a rag doll. I had bruises everywhere which I have proof of — my ankles and my wrists, I had a bruise on my face. Naked, and for a day and a half I had to take meetings naked in a cell. They finally did the physical evaluation and realized I was not crazy. This was not good. They put me in general population.

Both agreed that when they could no longer care for themselves and continue living there, they wanted a friend to have the home. My aunt moved to Dallas and passed away 6 months later. Her partner is still in Florida at an assisted living facility. I am the power of attorney for my aunt and—based on her will—the sole estate recipient. How do I get the mobile home title and registration in their friend's name?

Florida Statute 943.0438 — Athletic Coaches for Independent Sanctioning Authorities — states that background checks should be conducted by a nongovernmental agency, which should be the football league.Our city is saying they are responsible for this, despite the Florida statute. This is important because the statute allows for coaches to go through an exemption process, which the city says they are not obligated to do under their statute.
