I feel like I am experiencing workplace discrimination due to my bipolar disorder. None of this was an issue until May of this very year when I had to call out of work just once and provided them documentation that I had to see a doctor and explained that I had bipolar disorder to one of my bosses. That same individual rejected to look at the paperwork I brought in but clearly heard me state I had the disorder. Immediately that same week, for whatever reason, I started getting a lot more coaching, being brought to the back, and being overall seemingly pestered and harassed for very tiny things that couldn’t even be directly proven and other employees questioned the validity of. They would give me contradictory coaching multiple times and kept repeatedly asking me questions that seemed strange, such as bringing me to the back and asking if I have a driver's license even though the job itself does not require one and HR policy online straight up states they are not to ask that. There was also one egregious instance where I was a paying customer off the clock at the in-hotel coffee shop where I was simply sitting there off duty and was reprimanded for being there even though I was not working nor on the clock. Later that same day, after I got permission to stay in the hotel after my shift while I waited for a ride, another manager tracked me down and said I could not be there and I was forced to wait in the rain for my ride. Another issue is that they repeatedly claimed I have body odor and that it is an extreme issue. However, no other employee seemed to think that and I went as far as tracking when I showered before work and buying odor-blocking undershirts and underwear, yet they still took issue. They also constantly coached me on my uniform being too tight and said it was my fault even though they provided it and took a long time to get me paperwork to get new uniforms at the campus laundromat. Many of these coachings were contradictory. They say I am either too transactional with guests or not transactional enough, and claim my interactions are bad even though guest feedback forms consistently mention that I provided excellent service. Last week I had a written coaching where a manager said the feedback from other managers was that I needed to be more transactional, but that I was improving and management was aware. Then this week I was called into the main manager’s office and told I am being too transactional and that my grooming and interactions with guests are unsatisfactory. I was also told I would be passed over for a part-time or full-time position and remain a temp because of these issues. This contradicts what I was told previously. I left the meeting crying because I feel humiliated and embarrassed. I also know I was inadequately trained because training for certain positions stopped the moment I had that single call-out. Before I mentioned my bipolar disorder, my interactions with management were much more pleasant. The second I mentioned it, everything changed. I have mentioned my disorder multiple times in passing to employees and managers. Other employees are confused as to why I seem to be singled out. I feel humiliated and embarrassed. I have reported this to HR but have not heard back and I am currently exploring my options.

My wife is threatening to divorce me or kick me out of the house if I don't see a specific pastor, who has already told us both he's not a professional, to be able to help our marriage. That she is making false and inaccurate claims about me being abusive and doing illegal things. She is misusing words to describe my behavior and telling everyone about it. We have a child and she is using him to hurt me by saying awful things about me in front of him and to him, and she tries to keep him from me and won't allow me to take him places or take care of him alone. She's both verbally and emotionally abusive and it's damaging me and our son. What can I do about the false claims that she is making against me and telling everyone about? She misuses the word "illegal" and feeling "unsafe" over things that are not against the law and not abusive just because she doesn't like that I am starting to stand up for myself against her controlling and abusive behaviors. How do I protect myself from winding up arrested over false claims that she keeps making?

During a search warrant of my home police intercepted an incoming call from my boss on Teams and allowed the company to overhear their investigation for 3 hours while I was detained in a police vehicle. I have since lost my job directly related to the officer illegally answering the call. Can I be compensated for lost wages and invasion of privacy and the stress this has caused? If so how much could I be awarded?

If my wife is keeping her own money in her own account and is preventing access or refusing to add it to our joint account, or if she can’t responsibly control the spending of our money, am I allowed to open my own account to set up my direct deposit and move all of our money to this new account and only give her money when she needs to make purchases? I would argue this is for the safety of our family if she is trying to withhold money or spend it without consulting me. I work a full-time job, and she is a stay-at-home mom. The money she is keeping in her own account is from a garage sale or a side job.

I was trespassed from a university for simply walking in front of the hotel for which I was fired from. This hotel is on university property; however, they never once stated that I was banned from property. In fact, I had talked with HR the previous day who confirmed I never was. This was during a home football game where there was traffic everywhere, yet I was targeted for some strange reason, and the university police came at me with tasers drawn, frisked me, and banned me from all property. The only crime in their own words was "walking in front of the hotel," which I was never banned from, and after consulting many other university employees, is not at all policy. I am currently in a lawsuit against the university for firing me in an act of retaliation. However, did the university police potentially violate anything themselves here?

Just making sure, I do not need an attorney for a POA in Indiana if I already have two witnesses and a notary? And then we take the paperwork to the bank, correct? She only has a car and her home plus a checking account. No life insurance. No retirement or other revenue.

Hello there! I am purchasing a rental property for the first time. I take ownership on the 19th. The current renters are on a month-to-month basis. I want them removed from the property. Does an eviction notice suffice? 30 days?

I am the landlord of a triplex building in Hammond, IN. My tenant just signed the lease. He asked if I allowed firearms in the building. I'm from Illinois, so I am not familiar with Indiana firearm policies.
